Sports Circles Series

Since ancient times, men tended to come together in the fulfilment of various purposes, giving each other rules and creating a common synergy that also binds them spiritually and metaphysically. There are various reasons why men come together; hence the authors of this series want to describe the various people’s aggregating forms, their motivations, and the different characteristics, trying to discover how and why they are born.  Sport, culture, Religion, or simple pride of belonging to a social class are among the most frequent reasons for the desire to come together and find common synergies.
In the FIRST VOLUME, the authors will analyze historical sports clubs and those that nowadays have a universal connotation: golf, gymnastics, rowing, horse riding, polo, tennis, fencing, sailing.  The preface will hopefully be written by the President of CONI, dr. Giovanni Malagò that could introduce the champion for each sport. The plan for the rest of the book is to provide for each sport a brief history with an indication of the champions, Palmares, and the historical clubs of greater prestige. It will be possible to foresee a list of clubs affiliated to CONI in the appendix.
The SECOND VOLUME will talk about those associations that contribute to their activities to the spreading of culture in general. They usually meet under the aegis of “friends of”: friends of Music, friends of museums, cultural centres, and associations that deal with the protection of the Italian artistic heritage. The preface will hopefully be written by the Minister for Cultural Heritage, while for the various sections, an introduction by a significant person in the sector will be required.
The THIRD VOLUME will be an innovative initiative: it will address the associative phenomenon as an ancient elite tradition of the society’s dominant social classes. It will configure as a tribute to the historical realities that still pass on these values often considered obsolete and where the substantiality of the form is still important.  We hope that the preface will be written by an individual who represents this tradition to this day.
The FOURTH VOLUME will focus on the sporting circles’ historicity and it is intended as a tribute to some men that have believed in the confrontation of ideas and the joining of resources.  The preface will be entrusted to a historian that can combine historicity and the transmission of values and principles. We hope that it will be written by Prof. Alessandro Barbero of the University of Turin.
The FIFTH VOLUME will deal with the history and activities of religious and knightly associations through a perspective of social presence and aggregative activity, without any type of preclusions.  The preface will be entrusted to a historian and scholar of this particular world, or a high representative of the religious and chivalrous world.
The SIXTH VOLUME is a tribute to those who have contributed to highlighting the values of sport and Italians’ competitive loyalty with their agonistic sporting activities.  The results can be achieved with dedication, willpower, and talent, but also and above all with planning and sports facilities. This volume can be considered a continuation of the first one and an exaltation of sporting virtues and values.  The preface will hopefully be written by a multi-champion or a highly active international sports manager is hoped to further enhance the subject matter.  A concrete and incisive presence on dedicated domains and websites will support the initiative, that will coordinate around MCT Communication and its press agencies and magazines.  The official presentation of the work will take place in two phases, for greater penetration into the Italian society’s cultural circles. The first phase foresees a presentation to the press and the media for a real professional exchange with the operators of the sector, and it will take place at a significant communication site. The second phase will be dedicated to the world of culture, politics, sport, institutions, economics, and finance, for greater awareness towards the associative phenomenon, which is the backbone of democracy and freedom of speech and dialogue. The chosen venue for the presentation will be an institutional one, such as the Parliament, and/or a place of historical interest.

Besides, both initiatives will be video recorded and streamed on the MCT Communication websites.
The editorial project is registered in 2019 at S.I.A.E.
